We make every effort to keep down the cost of your medical care. You can help by paying for treatment at the time of your visit. This refers to your insurance co-pay, usually a deductible at the beginning of the year and the 20% not covered by Medicare. If no insurance applies, you will be asked to make financial arrangements with a member of our business staff.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality, affordable medical care. Insurance policies allow us to reduce administrative costs, without diminishing the quality of our service to you. Our insurance policies are:
Medicare: We accept Medicare assignment. This means we contract with Medicare to accept 80% reimbursement for medical procedures at a predetermined rate. By law, however, we are obligated to collect the 20% not covered by Medicare from you, the patient, plus your annual deductible. We will file all Medicare claims for surgery and office visits. As a courtesy, we will also file supplemental insurance forms for you.
HMOs/PPOs: We participate with Blue Cross, AV-MED, Humana, Pru-Care, and others. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the receptionist.
Health care insurance is intended to cover some, but not all, of the cost of your treatment. Most plans include co-insurance, a deductible and other expenses which must be paid by the patient.
If you have insurance, please bring your plan information with you to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.
At the end of each visit, upon request, you may receive all of the information necessary to file your insurance claim/ If you have questions regarding your coverage, please ask a member of our business office staff and we will work with you to find the answer.
